According to the article based on what it cost him to build it in 1984, looking at a reliable construction cost index for the east coast US, it would cost over $500,000,0000 to replace the Trump Plaza today. Yet it sold for $20,000,000.

That's about 4 cents on the dollar relative to today's replacement cost. Salvage value is typically 10 cents on the dollar.

Donald's never had any luck in the casino business. Probably a good thing his LV Trump facility has no casino.

Luck?

Donald's had about the same luck as everyone else.

What he hasn't had is any skill in running, or even understanding, the gaming industry.
Like restaurants and bars, casinos seem to attract owners who think anyone can run them successfully with no experience, despite a complete lack of evidence supporting this.

You listening, Mr. Loveman?

Sent from TC's iPad

What Trump did was undermine himself and his company with a fatal combination of ignorance and arrogance. Not vacuuming hotel rooms to save the cost of buying vacuum cleaners is unforgivable.
