LVRJ - Struggling Reno casino delivers clowning blow

I feel sorry for all who work in Reno, when I went there 2 years ago in late
June for part of my summer vacation it was deserted and sad and if it weren't
for the Rodeo in town , nothing to do but gamble or go to Virginia City (which
was a really cool and fun place by the way). The real estate is depressed
too. I strongly believe that the problem with struggling gaming industry is
totally a direct result of Indian Casinos in CA. I live in CA and I only went to
one Indian Casino and HATED IT, The Pechanga. THE PLACE WAS MORE CROWDED THAN
ANY CASINO IN VEGAS ON NEW YEARS EVE! My buddy lives in Sacramento and he has
been going to new casinos up there and he said same thing about it being so
crowded you can't even find a machine to play on or a table to sit at for
blackjack. He decided just to go to Cal Neva on stateline. He won't drive to Reno
either. Reno needs to market themselves more effectively as an allaround resort of
some kind. At least Laughlin has the river and Lake Mohave. When the clowns
at Circus Circus are losing their jobs the situation sounds gravely critical.

Hope they can get hired in Vegas.

I read that Reno residential RE was up an amazing 41% in the last year.
