Sorry but Southwest is also full of CRAP !!
Every and I mean EVERY time I check out Southwest there is NEVER a $79
ticket available.
I've tried on Tuesday, Wednesday etc. in late evenings etc.
There was a 2 month period (very bored at work) where I spent most of my
days searching for airfares.
For those same dates the cheapest Soutwest fare for 2 people is 435.00.
I don't know for what travel days this is offered but it's so few and far
between it's almost non-existent.
I also get the Southwest email updates each week and from San Jose they love
to send you to the midwest - no thanks.

Yeah, but since two people pointed out that you can fly N/S at
around that same $79 fare out of San Jose on Southwest Airlines, who
cares? The $300/ticket quote you gave is totally unnecessary.
