OUCH!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Nevadans die from lung cancer
and other smoking-related diseases more often than anyone else in the country. They also
suffer from asthma more than anyone else.

Maybe I don't want to retire to Vegas after all. This new "progressive" measure was adopted in New Jersey about 15 years ago.
But Israel is worse. (I lived there for a year in the 70s, and you could get lung cancer without ever smoking one yourself.) They just voted to make it illegal to smoke in hospitals!
Blessings, royals and clean lungs for all.

You could retire to St. George, UT and drive to Mesquite (hour) or Vegas (couple hours) when you felt the need. In UT it is illegal to smoke in any public building. Bars in UT are not
public but membership only so they are allowed to let patrons smoke. But it sure makes it nice when I can go to any restaurant and not have to worry about being able to enjoy my dinner.

Actually, if I was going to retire to Utah I'd go to Kanab, about 3 hours from Vegas. The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is there, and I could volunteer there when not hitting the machines in Vegas  The whole town closes down at 8 p.m., so that would keep me home and off the streets and out of trouble.
Only problem is, what passes for a bagel in those parts is outright disgusting.
Too bad Utah doesn't have casinos. They could do well. I see plenty of Utahns in Vegas.

Yep we have to go to ID to play the UT lottery.... And if you go to Mesquite or Wendover (2 hours from SLC) you will see lots of cars...most with UT plates.
