LVRJ - MGM-Mandalay merger hits snag

A while back, a lower-level exec on the MRG side said there was a clause in
the agreement which stated that MGM could back out within 10 mo.

Here's a conspiracy theory analogy: Many yrs ago, Microsoft proposed a
buyout of Intuit (owners of Turbotax). After a few mo & exchange of a lot of
sensitive info, they called it off. Not too long after Microsoft either came out
with MS Money or an improved version (memory hazy) which was in competition
with Quicken (owned by Intuit) which was the leading small-business accounting
package at the time. Intuit was able to fight off the challenge & Quicken
thrived.

Is this a template for what MGM may do? Kerkorian's past suggests he
certainly the culpability to do it.
