Having been there last year on 7/7/07, it couldn't be because the
place was packed (for that very reason) last year. Supposedly the
luckiest day ever, right? Or at least until 8/8/08 this year. Date
wasn't very lucky for me, grumble, gumble.......lol.

Be careful though with any "slashed rates" as there are many "fees' tacked on from resort fees, to energy fees, to touch the minibar fee, to toilet paper usage fees, etc.
