LVRJ - LV Rio to replace cocktail servers

Wow! This sounds like an age discrimination suit waiting to happen. Get rid of the cute young things you hired 13 years ago, now in their 30s and 40s, and replace them with cute younger things.
   The Philadelphia Inquirer did a story a couple weeks about about how cocktail waitresses in AC are getting up there in years. These workers ARE unionized, and can't get fired (without cause) because the casinos will have mucho trouble. They interviewed some 40- and 50-something waitresses, who now wear flat-heeled shoes and more modest uniforms, but get the job done. But the Borgata is planning to hire a bunch of young "Borgata babes" to dole out the booze. Don't worry, they'll be 40 and 50 in another 25 years.

I've been to the Rio--the waitresses there are _still_ good looking.
The last thing I want to see a cocktail waitress do is drop my drink
because she's in some skit somewhere.

Reminds me of the obnoxious singing you hear in too many restaurants
when they find out a customer's having a birthday. It's never "Happy
Birthday," as that song's still covered by a copyright.

Agreed on both accounts. This is idiotic. Plus: I'm trying to imagine my reaction if I were having some miserable day when I'm down about $1000, and one of these "servitainers" pops up behind me and starts belting out showtunes (let's say, "Tomorrow" from "Annie"). I'm guessing that the end result will involve medical bills and me "doing time" at the county lock-up.
