How sad - its a wonderful, but limited system, and the light at the end of
the tunnel must be another fare increase! That'd make sense to the
government.

The prices are really outrageous. I can't imagine why anyone would
use it unless that price included the airport and then it would make
sense only for airport trips.

Fair price given rates in other cities? From end of strip to
downtown .. maybe $5 per DAY with a multi-day ticket of less. Any more
than that, we'll never use it.

The monorail is not a government project - it is the largest private mass transportation system in the country. If (when?) is defaults lots of folks will be stuck for lots of money. Look for a rate decrease to try and compete with the Deuce..............

While I wouldn't be surprised at a price
change, the economics simple can't work.
The operation running the buses didn't
have to build the roads. I suspect that
sadly the outcome for the monorail is just
like what happened in Shelbyville and
Springfield. All joking aside it will
probably take a bankruptcy before the
thing can grow to the airport or downtown
-- if ever.

I love how the Mono shut down for almost a year, during which my 10-ride
pass expired.
How stupid of me not to have predicted this and rearranged my use of the
pass around their frequent shutdowns.
