"...During the first half of this year, revenues fell another 4.3 percent compared with the same period last year to $45.5 million, although the loss shrank to $8.9 million from $9.9 million..."

One our favorite joints over 15 years going to Vegas. Always had fair bets and still do. But the article is telling on gambling in so many ways.

Played FPDW at GVR this trip to Vegas. Their machines say $4=3pts.
I played about 5200 points. (which earned me a whole $5).
Was this enough hands on average to have hit the deuces? I didn't btw.
Ended up about $80 down. Made $120 in a session of live poker at GN.

GVR was ok, but don't think I'd stay there again.
Going again in Feb. What game would you recommend I practice that pays 100% and is widely available?

Thanks
Brad

You're in the ballpark for short term average as 4 ducks occur every 4900 hands. You really have to look at a larger sample to see if your hitting LT average. Try playing and charting 490,000 hands and you should hit 4 deuces very close to 100 times.
The next game that pays 100% with fairly low volatility and is widely available is 10/7 double bonus. Remember, in Vegas , all the major casino's have been schooled by certain Video poker experts and penalize us players for going over 100%. Often, on multiple point days, those 99.9% games are better EV than the optimums.
best...Tom

You're playing the best game on God's Earth-FPDW.
Double Bonus SUCKS-gives me a headache. Too many counter intuitive moves like holding 3 card flushes-yuck. Are you only holding one pair when dealt 2 pair in FPDW?, holding inside straights?, holding 2 card royals up to king high only-and for kings only if no penalty card?

Did they comp you a room?
A free room offer at GVR for $5K action on a more than fair bet paytable is sweet.

Yea Right!!!
They didn't comp a thing....however I didn't ask either.
I got the room on a Groupon for $99. Still had to pay the resort fee.
I won't be staying anywhere where they have the resort fee in the future.

As I remember the resort fee was huge like $30.
Well maybe you'll get an offer from Stations Corporate based on $5K action for another one of their casinos. There's like 19 of them and a lot with fair bets.
