The Las Vegas Review Journal continues to take the side of the
advantage player, against illegal treatment of winners.
Here is todays posting from the Inside Gaming Column....
Remember when six German tourists were murdered in Florida? Then-
Florida Secretary of State Greg Farmer told CNN at the time people
needed to get "a sense of proportion about this" because the six
murders were a tiny fraction of the total number of foreign visitors
to the state. It took Florida more than six years to recover. It
sounds very similar to Nevada gaming regulators saying the treatment
advantage gamblers get at the hands of casinos is more the exception
than the "norm." Great. Gamblers doing nothing illegal are not
usually handcuffed and taken into custody. That's faint comfort for
the industry as well as the individuals who've been rousted
