Just as I suspected would happen. They cut the vp pay tables and look
what happens; profits go down. Now they can combine player cards and
cut some more. They underestimate VP POWER!

Maybe so, but I read yesterday they paid a record sum for the Barbary
Coast, to complete their ownership of 26 acres (or thereabouts) on that
corner for future development. They also own the Imperial Palace
nearby. I think they've spent close to a billion for adjoining
properties next to the Barbary Coast in the past year. Maybe someone
knows more of the details. I think the article said the 2-3 acres
occupied by the Barbary Coast is one of the most expensive property
purchases, per acre, ever!
