Another one bites the dust. I can guarantee you there are some downtown hustlers who are not to happy with this change of events. The Horseshoe was homesteaded by hustlers' for years. In the downtown scene you had hustlers of all calibers. From the dirt bag bottom feeding crackheads who played the low denom advantage slots to those who were skilled at advantage slots, video poker and live poker.
The bottom feeders were in the poker room pretty much every day with a buck or two in their hand looking for a one-night room at the poker rate. The higher caliber hustlers' were usually in once a week with a sawbuck looking for a week in the hotel at the poker rate. These guys didn't play a whole lot of poker. A handshke with a bill in palm got the job done.
Split the hotel bill with a roomate or two and it's as cheap as it gets in Las Vegas, that is, without running any action.
