LVHilton $5 JoB

Forgot to mention my favorite part of the debacle:

Down to my last few bills, despondent and ill-tempered, on the last machine on the left. Floorperson empties the trash can right next to me. Busily chatting with his co-worker, he places the trash can's collar/lid on my foot, with it leaning on my knee. I resist my first impulse (which involved a variation of the old "ring toss" game) and decided to leave the lid where it was and wait for him make eye contact and be suitably embarrassed. No dice - the conversation with his co-worker had gotten animated and he had ceased emptying the can entirely. So, I'm sitting their with a trash can lid in my lap. Finally, my temper gets the better of me and I kick the filthy thing (the lid, not the attendant) off me. At that exact moment, he turned to see me kick the lid a couple of feet away. I then am chastised for in broken English for my rudeness.

Ah, the thrill of high-rollin' in Vegas!!!!

Misery loves company, so I'm enjoying trading horror stories. Bear in mind that I'm a $1 player, so $5 is at the bare edge of my comfort zone. The coupon was good on Thursday and Friday. Thursday: blew through $2700 in about an hour before throwing in the towel. Gathered up my courage and remaining scraps of loose cash and tried again Friday (after getting torched for $1700 at the Suncoast, no less), and fed another $1200 into beasts before deciding that my odds of actually cashing this thing were getting pretty slim, and my ATMs had hit their daily limit. So, I switched to $1 JoB and, of course, got dealt the quad with about $60 left, thus reducing my $4000 gift to the LVH to a mere $3875.
As Tomski likes to say, "I beat the odds".

Seems like centuries ago that we were playing $ PE with .67 CB, juicy
mail and free drinks from a bartender who was an entertainment act
without even knowing it.

PE and PKM are abbreviations for Pick 'em.

PKM has always been in the Glossary and PE
has just been added.
