LVH

I received a call today from my Host at LVH asking if I was going to make my normal trip to LV in December. During our conversation I asked about some drastic changes that I had been hearing about. She immediately told me that the LVH had made some changes but that, between the Slot Club and Marketing, they had really screwed things up. The "Suits" held a big meeting on Friday and came to the conclusion that something was very wrong with all the bad publicity they were getting on internet sites, in letters to management and Hosts finding a lot of people did not want to come back to the property.

Turns out that when they combined the slot club account and the comp account that only half of the amount that should be going into the one account was actually going in. To make a very long explanation I was given short, they screwed up and now realize it. I was told that letters of apology would be going out to some unhappy customers starting this week and that points would be added to their accounts.

Don't know what to make of all this except that they seem to be in a "scramble" mode of operation to get unhappy and lost customers back, both local and out of towners. It will be interesting to see what changes will take place over the next couple of weeks.

I really hope that this is the case. I really do!

But, when it comes to the decisions that "suits" make (and their
admission of making a mistake), "until I put my finger in his palms
and my hand in his side, I will not believe".

Also, what is that quotation about "when pigs fly"?

But, I am hoping...

I am very confused. Half of what is going where? are we talking
about the old comp balance being split between 2 accounts? I always
took the cash at the end of every visit but still, always had a
lareg comp balance which I understood taht people were cashing out
even as i post this. Can someone clarify this for me?

After the combining of cash and comp accounts, current points earned were only going in at half the amount that were suppose to be earned.

The bad news is that they had dropped their CB rate to about 0.1% as
well as cutting their theoreticals on the popular machines to 1/3 of
what they used to be, increased their required theoreticals and
eliminated C-4 status. Increasing the cash back to 0.2% is a start,
but won't be nearly enough to encourage people to make it their home
casino again.
