Has anyone stayed here? Is it a decent hotel in an OK/safe area? How

I stayed there when it had just opened a few years ago. It's easy
and reasonably safe to walk to the casino. (The biggest apparent risk
is getting run over in the parking lot.) Other than the casino,
there's not much to see or do in the immediate neighborhood. The
hotel itself is pleasant enough.

Has anyone stayed here? Is it a decent hotel in an OK/safe area?

I used one of Bob Dancer's columns on Pick'em Poker to make my own

cheat sheet http://www.casinogaming.com/columnists/dancer/102103.html

We used it on the Pick'ems at NYNY and ended up $5500 after three

trips. Unfortunately, NYNY Pick'ems were downgraded two days after
are last trip. Our next trip is to Paris - Gotta have my Pick'ems

Thank you for the reference to www.jazbo.com I ordered the Pick em Poker cheat sheet. I can't wait to get it. My friend loves to play keno at Bally's so Pick em is where I will be.

Lucky Lucy and I have an invitation to a VP tournament at a Kansas
City casino. We have never played in a tournament before. Other than
playing as many hands as possible is there any other strategies to
increase chances of winning? Any web sites about tournament play?

There are some tournaments that are strictly speed. If this is the
case then playing fast is more important than playing accurately.
Don't correct small mistakes, just hit draw and go on to the next
hand. I practice using winpoker set to the highest speeds possible.
You should also analyze your technique on real machines. Find the
best position for your hands that will allow you to play fast the
entire time. You don't need to actually play to accomplish this.

If the tournament is large and based on a fixed number of hands then
Dancer's strategy is as good as any. In most of these tournaments you
absolutely need to get a RF to win anything substantial, so go for it.
