On the main board the daily question will visit Laughlin. LVA is going to give their opinion about River Palms. Check it out.
LVA Question of the Day Sunday April 3rd-River Palms
I read their response. Not much defense, but they say they are going to put the dining on one floor and gaming on another. . "Unfortunately, it was your bad luck to stumble across a work in progress, it seems."
Ha.Ha. The fact that they have the worst gaming in town is not a factor?
LVA Question of the Day - 3 APR 2011
Q: I was just in Laughlin this last weekend and went into
the River Palms. To my surprise the first floor was
virtually empty. Did some one just purchase the casino? Or
are they updating the casino? Or is their business just
down? What´s going on?

In my opinion, River Palms started downhill ever since the New Caribbean
Band left...

I think the RP spokesperson made it worse, basically stating there are two levels to the casino...but there really are three. If they really are moving all gambling to the top floor that means they are giving up. Also there was no mention if the main (only) cage is going upstairs.
In January the Pirate's Cove (mis-named) bar was already ripped-out by the main cage. The pit didn't open until 3pm.
Yes they recently redid their slot club card but did not try to link-up my Trop Express card.
All I have is good memories of fine VP, great promos/offers/bounceback, low roller food deals, several shirts and decent results playing VP/cashing in drawings. Oh well.
