LVA Question of the Day - 9 FEB 2010

One day we went to the Silverton Casino for lunch, only to find
that their Buffet was closed. Another day, we stopped by the
Stratosphere for lunch, and found their Buffet closed. What
happened? Do you know of any other casinos who have stopped their
lunch times so we don't have to waste money driving around?

Good Morning
I have received some great free play at the four queens and I am wondering what anyone would suggest I pllay..

My goal is to make my bankroll last.. To play for a long time. Drink a lot of free drinks. (lots) and to hopefully stay at a good comp Laval there.

My bankroll is $400 in cash including tip money at a $1 a drink
And $300 in free play..
There is 2 of us to play. We know fpdw the best, 8/5 and 9;/6 job strategy and, then 10/7.
We also know how to blackjack switch well, after the help from wizardofodds.com

I also have a 3x coupon for el corttez..

Thank you for any advice or comments

There is a bank of 10 machines right in front of the Keno counter with
9-6 JB and 8-5 BP at 05/10/25 cents. $700 should keep you going for
a very long time at 10 cents.

A riskier play for that bankroll would be the 25-cent 10-7 DB prog.

Good luck.

A couple fairly obvious observations:
-8/5 and 9/6 is more likely to last longer than 10/7 because of the reduce variance (pays double for two pair)
-I don't know the casino advantage you are playing with BJ switch, so hard to tell. Certainly the game is much slower.
-you ought to play double points coupon at 4Q's if you have the ACG book
-Both 4Q and El C will only take one of the points coupons per book, per year, per customer. So make it pay (I know the 4Q's limit is 500 points in a day also)

Good Luck!

I agree with the other posters but I can't help but throw in a plug for the bank of 25c 10/7 DB progressive. The variance (volatility) is higher but it is a positive play. If you play well your $700 will likely last all day (not guaranteed but likely). Of course, if you get lucky, you will leave a winner.

Go for it!

Slowpoke

The ev of switch depends on the ability to correctly make switches. It is
not as intuitive as it might appear.

Also there is a big difference in when (if) a blackjack is paid. Is it paid
before the dealer completes her hand or after. If after, it may become a
push.
