I was planning to mention the "tournament" chapter in "Frugal Video Poker"
myself - it seems a relevant suggestion to one asking about how to approach VP
tournament play.
I'm new to this list (as of about a month ago). I'm learning an incredible
amount, and enjoying what I'm reading tremendously. I have found it
interesting, however, how hard some of you are on one another. I'm a stickler for
proper grammar and spelling in published materials - but I've been amazed at how
severely a typo can be treated here. I've just begun reading the most cited
books on VP, and have already noticed differing views on some issues and some
differing recommendations. There is much to learn from each of the ones
I've read so far - yet these disagreements become the fodder for personal attacks
among authors.
I don't share your history together, and I doubt that my comments will matter
a bit, but I think that the level of intolerance on this list is unfortunate.
I'm glad that so far it doesn't seem to inhibit those who are attacked from
continuing to share their ideas here. That would be tragic.
