LVA Question of the Day - 6 OCT 2006

Q: I heard that there's a crazy house in Las Vegas, owned by
an ex-Lt. Governor(?), that's full of all kinds of Vegas
memorabilia. Is this house open to the public? Are there any
other unusual private homes in Las Vegas?

Have any of you been to the first house mentioned in the article?? If yes, is it as strange as the article described? I wish I was in Vegas on Halloween.

I've been for the last three years, and yes, it is as goofy as it sounds, even from the outside. I
have tons of pictures that I took the first time I was there. I can always tell when something's
been moved or taken down, and he's always working on something new. Did you use the link
in the QoD that went to his site? I think he has video there.

Dr. Hammargren is a former Lt Governor who ran again this year, though I honestly don't
know if he made it past the primaries. He's also a retired neurosurgeon (he's the one who
operated on Roy after the tiger attack). So, he has a lot of free time, a lot of money, and a lot
of friends to gift him a lot of weird stuff.

It's certainly worth the trip if you are ever in town that weekend!
