Q: The Consumer Electronics Show took place last month (Jan
7-10). I have attended this conference in the past and was
wondering how large the attendance was this year? For many years,
the last full week before Thanksgiving was always COMDEX week. I
attended several of those from the late `90s through its final
year in 2003. In its heyday it had quite an effect on room rates
and shows. At its peak I think the attendance exceeded 200,000. I
was curious, was that the largest convention Las Vegas (or maybe
anywhere else) has ever had?
