LVA Question of the Day - 26 AUG 2008

Q: Is it improper to give my comps such as free play to someone
else? My friend and I go to different casinos in Tunica and
almost always at different times. He could take my card and pin
number and I could take his when we each go and claim the free
play. How would the casinos view this, it would get a new player
into the casino that would not normally have come there. Would it
hurt our comps if each didn´t play much on the others card? We
both are in the top tier of our respective casinos.

Remeber, they copy your drivers license and add it to your electronic record at most casinos, so they know what you should look like.

Not sure what specific market you're referring to but the vast
majority across the country do NOT scan a DL.

Also, a DL can be bought on just about any downtown street corner. The
feds are trying to push standards to reduce this unwanted competition,
but states have not yet adopted them. And, in case I need to point out
the obvious, it is perfectly possible to work and live and vote and
get government benefits in this country without being a legal citizen.
It is also possible to gamble without being a legal or identified
citizen. It is (mostly) illegal, but so far enforcement has been lax

Stations, Wynn and Harrah's all scan your DL. It may be when you hit a taxable if you are a long time member.

You forgot to add HR. All of the above you mentioned will allow you
to decline a scan when getting a card. Only HR insists your ID be
scanned. That's a total of about 10 properties of the ~100 in the
Valley. That % drops significantly once you leave NV.
