Q: I just finished reading the latest bestseller by Lee Child,
Bad Luck and Trouble. This book has a few chapters set in Las
Vegas. In these chapters, the main characters are walking up
the low end of the Strip where several of the older properties
have been torn down to make way for new construction (so far
so good). But then the author states several times they're in
the area where the Riviera used to be. I just got back from
Vegas and I know the Riveria is still there. So this was
obviously a researching error. I was wondering if these types
of "errors" come to light in any way and do any formal
retractions/apologies ever take place when the facts are
incorrect.
