LVA Question of the Day - 2 MAY 2007

Q: I found your answer to the walking the marker question (4/7)
interesting. But I had one problem with it. I've heard the term
marker before, but I'm still not totally sure what a marker is
or how it works. Can you please explain? Thanks!

I found the part about front money interesting. Does any VPfree member
care to elucidate. For instance does one typically bring a check every
trip which they cash and then they make you out a check for what is
left over at the end or do you typically just leave the money on
deposit and use it from trip to trip.

Before I moved to Vegas I would wire 10k from my bank to the cage so
I could take a marker at the table rather than carry cash. It kinda
makes me laugh now but back then carrying 10k cash worried me.

Wiring front money also gets the attention of a host. Especially if
you haven't established yourself at a casino before.
