LVA Question of the Day - 18 JUN 2012

Q: At CityCenter properties, I understand Veer is the only
true residential tower in the complex. I was told several
days ago that sales of unsold units have been halted by
management. I saw a poster on the side of the building about
leasing. Is Veer becoming a rental complex and what happens
to all the early buyers of units?

I looked back on some records of when I purchased the Texas Holdem machines from the Horseshoe and it was in Oct. 1999. About 4 or 5 months earlier was when I hit the only 25 cent royal of my life. We've been going two or three times every year since then. This past trip we needed a jack of diamonds and got the jack of hearts. I guess that's as close as we've got to one. The good news however is I think I am way ahead of schedule on hitting the ducks. We hit them three times this trip. (The last time they were dealt to us). Altogether I guess we've hit the ducks about 25 times. Someone once posted that for hitting the 4 two's a certain number of times you should hit a royal. Was it like 5 times?
We stayed at Bill's because it is close to the Palms and still on the strip. Boy has it changed since the Barbary Coast days. They wanted $10 to check in at 2:30 rather than at 3:00. A room with a view of the fountains was $20 per night more.
Everything was extra!! I thought when we got up to our room there may be a meter on the toilet paper and every sheet after the first one would cost extra.
I'm sure many of you remember the red cards the Barbary used to give you for a comp at the Victorian. I actually still have one that has not been used. Oh for the good ole days again.
We played at the Palms and they are now back in my good graces. I regret blowing all my points when they took the full pay's out. I plan on staying there in Oct when we go out again. We played many of the "penny" slots and had a great time playing The Hangover slots. If you get a chance play it. If you enjoyed the movie you'll like the slots. We actually made some money on them.

I played the Hangover slots at Hard Rock last weekend and had a great time. Definitely recommend them.
