Q: I'll be in Las Vegas over the 4th of July and would like to
know what kind of fireworks displays can I expect to see from
the casinos? Or... as someone who loves this country, are there
any special 4th of July events happening in Las Vegas?

Well Laughlin still tries with the "Rockets Over the River" celebration.
They do it on two nights. This year Saturday June 30th and July 4th. The river
gets closed for traffic and they shoot the works from the old Riverside
parking lots on the Arizona side.

They usually have a local radio station playing appropiate tunes. Most
casinos have invite parties, but the fireworks can be seen anywhere on the
riverfront. The Avi down the river usually does their own thing too since they are
on the Rez. Their new outdoor complex (beach, pool, pavilion) is by far the
best set-up on the river now.

**************************************
See what's
