Q: Can you tell me what are the roads in Las Vegas that
divide street addresses by north, south, east, and west?

I've been thinking about this. Recently I was at Boulder and Indios getting
water from the machine while on my bicycle and yelling at the people getting
gas. "Gas for me is 25 cents a gallon." when a bedraggled couple with Calif
license plates pulled up and ask, "How do we get back to 15 South?" I panicked
because I knew there was no direct easy way. Heading west on Boulder past
Boulder Station and onto the 95 would have been out of their way and more
traffic when they got to 15 south. And It's not actually going west according to
the map, Boulder Hwy is a N/S street. I thought for a moment and realized that
directions, south on Indios, left on Mountain Vista, cross Flamingo, RT on
Tropicana would be the best route, although more confusing, but even that
seemed way out of the way. And, they'd have to cross the Strip. If you're in the
wrong lane crossing The Strip at Trop then you're in big trouble. I kept
seeing an image in my head of a giant triangle grid for Las Vegas instead of N/S,
E/W. But then I thought of the future solution...

Trade cities with Salt Lake City. From what I understand all the SLC streets
come off Temple Square and are easy to figure out. Temple Square can move to
Sunrise Mountain. More housing could be built way up the hill so the Mormons
will see only Temples when they look out the window in the morning. For the
few Mormons remaining in SLC we could move the Gladys Knight Mormon Gospel
Choir up there. The Old Utah version of Temple Square would become the new
Downtown/Strip combination with extreme high rise hotels. There's more water for
boating in Salt Lake then Lake Mead. The nice folks all around SLC have
never heard the word "Mafia" so they wouldn't mind the Mayor and his friends. The
old Las Vegas would be renamed "Las Latter Day" and the New Las Vegas now in
SLC would be renamed.... scroll down...
No, I'll tell you here, "Salt Luck City..." There's more. The transplanted
"Naked City" area around the Stratosphere would be renamed, "Salt... Lick...
City" No I didn't write this, this is awful, no no I didn't write it. I'll
sign a different name
