LVA Question of the Day - 16 NOV 2010

Q: The water level of Lake Mead is kind of scary, isn't it
(QoD 11/11/2010)? If it keeps dropping as drastically as it
has been for the past 10 years or so, what can be done to
insure Las Vegas's future water supply?

Even the iceberg idea is cost effective. 300K gallons for $4K is about a penny a gallon. That's what were are paying for water and sewer in Boston and we have plenty of water. It's the sewer charge that's 90% of our cost. People are conserving like crazy causing our water agency to raise the cost/gallon. Have to pay off the bonds for the Boston Harbor sewage treatment plant. The harbor is very clean. Not so much 20 years ago.
