LVA Question of the Day - 15 OCT 2006

Q: While in Las Vegas this past week, I drove to the downtown
area and noticed on all the casino parking lots a sign that read
"free parking with validation," then a list of costs per hour.
What exactly does the validation mean? I used the valet at Main
Street Station instead.

Today's LVA QOD has a link to the following page for detailed parking costs
in Downtown Las Vegas.

http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/ctable.cfm?s=F&w=QOD&men=1&sub=0&id=8

At the bottom of this page, LVA wrote, "Now is the time for all good men to
come to the aid of their country."

What does this mean? Why did they write that? How does this statement
relate to parking costs in Downtown Las Vegas?

Am I missing something? Or, is this just a non sequitur - printed there for
fun?
