Q: I heard that the Four Queens Hotel rent electric
scooters for $20 dollars a day. Is this true? My
father-in-law is handicap and he could use an electic
scooter to move around the casinos on Fremont Street.
Do other casinos provide this service?>>
I don't know but... At Arizona Charlie's East they had to change the "48
Gallon Free Gas A Day" promotion to, "48 Free Walker, Wheelchair And Scooter
Brake Jobs A Day" [and a scooter bumper sticker ["I BRAKE FOR A.C.E."] as nobody
who plays there has a car. The place was a ghost town, especially on Belmont
Stakes day. They all live next door in the RV park and are really really
old. On the elevator as I press the floor buttons I do my joke, "It's been a
long time since you had your own elevator operator..." and they tell stories
from the past, the guy sitting on the little stool with the wheel to open and
close the door. One lady's deceased husband was the supervisor of all elevator
operators as Los Angeles city hall... I tell a few stories too....
