Another perspective:
I think we may be missing some underlying currents here. As a woman, I would
always choose a better meal at a better restaurant for less money
(couponing/comping just fine). Maybe the guy was a real jerk and she just didn't like
his style and had to say something just to get rid of him. If there was any
chemistry at all, the value was there to be had for a long time to come. I don't
think it was the coupon, it was the guy.
