Q: In February we were in Las Vegas and took a bus trip to
Laughlin. Our bus driver/tour guide told us that the City of
Las Vegas does not get its major supply of water from Lake
Mead, but it gets it from an underground river which flows
under the City. He also said that the reason Bally's Hotel
and Casino is set back from the Street is because,
otherwise, it would be sitting on top of the River. Is he
correct?
