Q: Is there a rule in poker that if you show your hand to

for your help — it will settle a bet.

As a former poker dealer instructor at Casino Gaming School of Nevada, I can definitively answer "YES." It is the "Show One, Show All" rule that is standard in most card rooms.

If a hand is shown to a player who is still in the action, it must immediately be shown to all players.

If a hand is shown to a player who is out of the action, but the action is not finished, and some other player asks to see it, the dealer should hold it aside and turn it up it after the hand is finished.

If a hand is shown to a player after all action is completed, and some other player asks to see it, it should be turned up for all to see.
