First of all it is your luggage and your money, and therefore your decision. If a bellhop or hotel is too pushy they should be told to back off. On the other hand if you use their services, please tip accordingly as they are minimum wage jobs. Obviously for a single suitcase the tip is less than enough luggage to require your airplane to use the longer east west instead of the north south runway to get airborne.
