LV Trip notes

Trip Notes from recent visit to LV

Flight was uneventful on Southwest. Saw some $1 Illinois Deuces in
Terminal C at McCarran for those that must have their last minute VP
fix before stepping on their flight.

ALL cashouts at McCarran are now handpays. Since most players won't
want to bother with a handpay, this will basically force them to play
until they hit a jackpot or until they lose their buyin. What a
ripoff.

Rented from Dollar again. Total cost for 5 days was $8.17 incl tax
and fees. Yes, you read that right. EIGHT dollars, TOTAL for 5 days
in a PT Cruiser using the code CTI. This code was supposed to take
$15 off the rental, but ended up taking $15 off per DAY. Not
guaranteed to work for everyone, but I've heard other reports of
people getting the same discount.

HARD ROCK
VP:
The M&M machines still have 9/6, located close to the Joint. They
have 9/6 ONLY at the .25 denom AND they deal very slowly. Sad to see
what's happened to the VP at the HR in the past couple years. This
place is only worthy of hit-n-runs now.
Coupons:
We both used the CP coupons to get the 6 pack coupons. I don't know
why I'm always reading that 6 packs are only for new members, we've
picked up 6 packs here for years without a problem.

MONTELAGO:
VP:
Bartop fullpay remains, including 9/6 JB w/ seq RF, FPJW, and 10/7
DB. FPDW is now restricted to 2 banks. One is by the base of the
escalator, next to the cage. The other bank is near the restrooms. FP
PE in the Gamemakers remain the ONLY machines in the casino that
aren't TITO. July promo: earn 500 points, get a free BBQ set.

HARRAHS
VP:
I saw (1) $1/$2 9/6JB machine. That's it. Keeping with the tradition
of my last 3 trips here, I did put so much as a penny in a Harrahs
machine or on Harrahs felt. Why play 9/6 with the WORST comps and
cashback on the Strip with so many other 9/6 options available – and
at nicer properties?

PALMS
VP: $0.25 10/7 DB machine remains at the center bar. It was hard to
get an exact count on the machines, since the bar is always busy in
the evenings. This is always my first stop at the Palms since
cocktail service on the floor can sometimes be spotty, at best. The
10/7/80 Gamemakers were packed nearly the entire 4 hours we were
there. I spent some time playing the FPDW progressive with a fellow
coupon trader, luvnluk. Nice guy and had a pleasant time conversing
with him while playing. I also played some 3/5 play .25 9/6 and the
wife and I always enjoy spending time on the 0.01 50 play 9/6
machines.

IMPERIAL PALACE
VP: Found the bank of (9) $1 9/6 JB on the north wall, just east of
the lounge in the front of the casino. I didn't bother to play, since
playing AA at the bar in the IP was a long-standing tradition for me.
No AA = no action. Playing $1 9/6 just didn't seem like the right
thing to do.

FLAMINGO
VP: Reports of the demise of the (2) .25 9/6 machines that sit by
themselves near the hotel checkin/Connection Center are false. I
played these for a few hours in the wee hours of the morning with not
so spectacular results.

OSHAES
Misc: ALL the blackjack in this place is still 6/5. Boo hiss.

BARBARY COAST
Coupons: Funbook given to hotel guests. New book contains (2) $5 MPs:
one for BJ and one for PaiGow. Free cocktail coupon. The $5 freecoin
coupon remains. Total gaming EV of ~$10.

VP: Played the M&Ms with 9/6 and NSUD. The $1 Deuces progressive was
over $11K when I checked out.

BALLYS
VP: Played the .25 and $1 Pickem. I counted 10 $1 PE machines by
Sullys Bar. TITO still is not working. The $0.50 PE are MIA and have
been replaced by a small live poker area.

PARIS
VP: The $1 PE is GONE. I looked all over the Champaign slot area
without success. The bank of 9/6 remains by the crap tables.

WESTIN
VP: $0.25 9/6 BJ on all bartops I checked.
Misc: C & I both signed up and received our $10 freeplay. Nice promo
for slotclub signup!

JERRYS NUGGET
Coupons: Managed to lose ALL our ACG MP's here AGAIN. I've never
walked out of this place a winner.

Tip: Play your LVA Sports MP on a prop bet. This will essentially
make a 100 to 1 bet a 200 to 1 bet. I played the Texans and the Lions
(at 200:1) for the Super Bowl. A cool $1K on my $5 wager if either of
those teams win it all.

COAST PROPERTIES
Misc:
Orleans, Suncoast and Gold Coast all offer 2500 points during your
birthday month. Simply play 1 point on any of their machines at each
casino, and your 2500 points will automatically be added to your
account.

ALADDIN
Coupons/VP: Played the $25 freeplay Perks coupons on the oversized $1
9/6 machine. Reports that it is gone are false. It is in the same
spot it's been in since the place opened.

CAESARS
VP: Played the Super Times Pay machine for the first time. There are
2 of these machines side by side in the Forum Casino outside Ogden's.
STP is a very fun game and nice change of pace. For those who haven't
played it, it's like triple play with MultiStrike thrown in. I played
it for a couple hours and had a good time.

PLAZA
Coupons: Pleasure Paks are again available at the main cage. They are
the same as they've been in the past, highlights include a $5 MP,
Free breakfast, Free spin, Free 7oz beer and $3 off the Diner.

I looked in the database and did not see this Deuces prog. Is it
NSUD or something else?

The base game is "ugly ducks" (98.9%).
