LAS VEGAS HILTON'S NEW HIGH-END SLOT AREA FIT FOR A KING

LAS VEGAS-The Las Vegas Hilton's new high-end slot area is fit for a
king. "King's Court" combines top slot and video poker machines, a VIP
lounge, its own cashier, private restroom, and personalized service
from slot floor people and casino hosts.

     "We wanted a convenient yet personalized environment for our
players,"says Bob Stewart, senior vice president of slot operations.
"The range of products and services are designed with that environment
in mind."

     "King's Court" is located off the main casino, close to the
entrance of the Hilton Theater. Pictures of Elvis adorn the walls,
along with a plasma screen featuring sports and entertainment.

     Slot and video product include two $500 machines with a $400,000
possible top jackpot, two $5 Wheel of Fortune" wide-area progressive
machines, Multi-denom capable machines, and a variety of $5, $10, and
$25 denominational machines.

Yeah, I'll get right on one of those machines when I come visit this
summer. (Actually, it would be kind of fun to go to the cashier's
cage and ask for a single $500 token. That's all I could afford.)

ANYWAY...I'm not surprised by this. When I visited LVH this past
December (18-21) I cruised around the casino several times and the HL
area was basically deserted. I know that time of year is very slow,
but you would have thought I would have seen someone in there playing
something.

I am always surprised when I DO see someone in there playing with the
rotten paytables they have in HL.
