LV Hilton Comp %

I remember reading here that the comp % for VP was less at LVH if you
were staying under C4,etc, than if you were not staying at the hotel.
I played one day at LVH without staying (I did cash a bounce back
check) and my comp % was approx 0.16% Is this was others receive that
are not staying at the hotel and are from out of town?

Bill

I just got back from a 4 day at the LV Hilton. Stayed at C2
level, .33% cash back plus .16% comps on top of RFB (did not eat at
any of the upscale places this time, but they have been included in
the past). I came from out of town and arranged through casino host
Gary Garrison who has treated us well in the past.

Not sure what the answer is but I know that I receive more comps than I
can use. I get full RFP with many other goodies, so I never have to use
my comp account to pay for anything. I just returned today from a
5-night trip to LVH (one of my 3 "home" casinos) and I did learn that
under the current new owners, your comp account cannot exceed $1,000. I
was within 13 dollars of the limit when I learned about it so I promptly
dropped $300 on a spending spree in their gift shop. I left with a
little over $800 still in the comp account after putting in 850k play
in 5 days. I guess my next trip later this year I will have to drain it
some more.

Two comments as follow up to the fine feedback you've already received:

The non-guest comp comments were made prior to the transition of the
property from Caesars Ent. to Resorts (if I recall correctly). The
higher non-guest LVH comp rate at that time was consistent with what
had also been reported for Caesars LV casino. It's quite possible
that Resorts has eliminated the higher non-guest rate.

Any non-guest player who doesn't have a sufficient comp balance to
cover a meal in the coffee shop (for up to 2 diners) should stop by
the host office and inquire if, based upon their play, a comp might be
written for an amount above their current comp balance. I can't say
what the outcome would be, but it never hurts to ask -- and given the
relatively low comp rate reported at the kiosk, I suspect odds are
that the request would be favorably received.

I just checked my comp return rate from my last weekend visit. I came
in on a 3 night stay deal- no food. My comp return was a pathetic .118%
return. I suppose the small difference would be due to rounding, and
moving from machine to machine. This was my first visit with the new
owners, and I remember my comp balance building up very nicely with the
Caesars ownership. What was the old comp rate?

Bob,

Mind if I ask what you play to get that kind of coin in? I gussin it ain't the nickel spin pokers!

SK

I believe the old rate was the same as the cash rate, .33%, they both
grew equally. We just got back from a trip and we got about the same
as you 1/2 of .33 or so, maybe less, kind of sad, but still one of the
better values considering the games.

Now that I have been caught........I saw the typo after it went out and
wondered if anyone would catch it and they did.....congrats. That
should read 85k NOT 850k. My two main plays are $1 3play and quarter
10play.

I did just that, Harry. I saw Gary Garrison before checking out,
and he comped all of my room charges (four meals x 2 people at the
Cafe...total about $150) wihtout dinging my comp account. I accrued
about $65 in comps and $119 cashback, on $38k coin-in over three
days.

Rob

Oh, I guess that explains it! Thought maybe they had some new $100 10 plays or something!
