LV Hilton bad news...

Just heard from a knowledgeable friend who lurks on these Lists. As of
yesterday, it takes $30 to earn one point at video poker, up from $18. A point is
still worth a dime, so this reduces the cash back from .556% to .333%. For those
of us who have been playing JOB at the Hilton, this is a really bad thing,
since the game is now below 100% with cash back.

I got this from the Marketing Department at the LV Hilton:

"We no longer have the highest cash back in the city. The new cash back
is 0.33%. However, locals can still get comp dollars based on a 20%
reinvestment for their play that they can spend it any way they want.
When you compare our comp reinvestment percentage with other local
properties, we are 5 to 10 percent higher, which more than makes up for
the slight reduction that we made to our cash back program."

Scot

That's odd, because I've noticed that rate at which comp dollars is added to my account has been drastically reduced as well - for many months I was getting about 0.8% in comps, now it's more like 0.2%. Or, maybe the comp rate for FPVP is much lower? The mystery deepens...
