Does anyone know how much play it takes to recieve mailings for free
room offers from Harrahs properties in LV. There is quite a bit of
info on their rewards program, but I can't seem to find this info
out. We are heading to LV this fall and no longer get free room
offers from LV Hilton. We don't want to stay downtown and like the
Harrahs/IP location for convenience and proximity to the monorail.
We recieve offers from other Harrahs properties in Tunica, KC, and
Topeka, but I have never played at a Harrahs in LV.
For what it is worth, my wife is a quarter slot player and I play
mostly quarter, .50, and $1.00 VP and live poker. We are not picky
about our room accomodations or food. I would guess that our coin in
is $8K-$12K/day.
Thanks in advance for your feedback,

If you are getting offers from other HET casinos then there is a good chance
the online reservations system might cut you a deal. Sign-in using a PIN,
then go to reservations and pick a casino and dates. Some players have been
pleasantly surprised what the reservations system coughs up without specific
offers.

You can also access your on-line TR offers via this link:
https://www.harrahs.com/TotalRewards/TotalRewards and then plug in your TR number and your pin. If you don't have a pin--follow the directions to set up. Also, if your wife has a seperate TR number do likewise with hers. Once you're "in" you can click on and see YOUR offers--you may be surprised! If you have NO offers from Vegas--click on the reservations on the top and try making a reservation using your TR number OR use both of yours and see if it makes any difference with the rate you're quoted. Go thru all the properties for the dates you want. If they're full for a day or days go back and try to drop those days out and see what it offers you! Play with it and see what happens! I got Paris over NYE by doing this. . . also could have had Caesars--all other properites were full! Imagine that. . . . Good Luck! JH

Having never stayed at a Harrah's property, but played some each trip
at Caesars (before conversion to TR), I thought I'd give this a try
just to see what came up. As you say, I was pleasantly surprised. My
question is, if you receive a comp up front through the reservation
system, is your point balance affected in anyway or are there strings
attached (other than an expected level of play to keep the offers
coming)? Thanks.

Haven't stayed at Caesars since the change, but we have booked comp rooms
(not based on mailers) at Harrah's properties a couple of times before and
never had the TR comp balance tapped.

Once you have established youself as a Gold, Platinum, Diamond or 7 Stars Player
the level of offers remains fairly constant for that level. We sometimes don't play at a
Harrahs property for months and we still get the offers. With Harrahs it's pretty
much based on your tier level--in general. Now how much you play per visit can affect
your comps for food etc with a host and also any bounce back and amount of say. .. a Simon Visa card offer in the future. My husband is a lower level Diamond and we get $100 Simon Visa Card offers where as I know some of the other folks here get $500 Simon Visa Card offers (includes 2 or 3 free nights also) or higher.
