Interesting reading.

Especially the part in the Sun article about the whales being treated
to an opening night "free" $50K bet.

So I'm wondering ... When do the rest of us collect our own
welcoming "free" bet proportional to the Wynn play and/or loss
recorded on our Red Card?

Just wondering.

The impression that I got from the article was that those free bets
were probably given to table players as the "inaugural first bet" (what
they were calling the promo). Invited machine players were given
freeplay, but most likely smaller amounts than what the table players
received (since you wouldn't have to put the entire amount down on one
bet, but get it as freeplay instead). I am only speculating that table
players just got the one free bet based on the wording in the article.
But I can definitely say that the freeplay amounts they gave out were
not all within the $1K and $50K range the article mentions. Again I
think that data is just indicative of what table players were getting.
