This was one of our best guesses for the discrepancy, though there were
others. It was a pretty modest 1 night free/ one night casino rate and $50
credit marketing offer, but it was in my name and would account for the
different comp dollar rates. Stayed there to burn a bunch of comps we had
earned at the .8 rate before the 13 month expiration
and to try out the
Palace Tower rooms.

I got the following information from a host at Caesars and I have no idea if
it is accurate. The hosts seem as confused as we are, when I question them
about comps!!! Anyway, this one host said: "If you come in with a free
room or RFB, your comp dollars will accumulate slower as you play than when
you just come in and play and aren't staying in the hotel. This is done to
recoup the comps you are already getting."
Now I know computers can be programmed to do a lot of things - but could
this actually be possible? Those of you who have tried to keep track of how
many comps you earn - have you noticed any difference between a person who
has a free room or RFB and another person who does not have any pre-comped
things?
