LV Advisor 2010 Coupons

I am really rather appalled that someone would post a real name for someone
who obviously wishes to be known another way. They have their reasons,
and that should be good enough. I know quite a few real names - Bob
Dancer's, Anthony Curtis', and even Jean's. But you'd have to pour boiling oil on
me to get me to 'fess 'em up. Despicable.

All posts in this thread should be removed and any future answers blocked
from appearing at all. IMHO.

Especially when Flowers own sister posts in the LVA forums under her real name and with a signature noting that she is Kurt's sister. We're not exactly talking about state secrets here.

Well said, Brian. I agree 100%. I think the moderator should take down the 'outing' posts.

Jean Scott is the individual who "outed" Anthony Curtis aka Kurt Flowers in her post.
I, and I imagine most readers, did not put two and two together when the original poster was complaining about the lack of matchplay coupons in the LVA.
The more you people continue to rant and rave about something, the more damage is done.
This blog was originally supposed to be a venue for people who enjoyed VP to exchange information in a positive and civil manner. It has turned into a online version of the National Enquirer. Sad, very sad.

Keep up the posts vivalv. Ignore the chain smoker from Michigan. A little education goes a long way:

···

==================
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Anthony Curtis

Curtis' real name is Kurt Flowers

I forgot about the Wikipedia page. I recall looking at that early this year. Like I said before, the name isn't a state secret. Besides his own sister outing him in all of her posts the name is clearly stated in Wikipedia.

Now back to the issue at hand and that's the value of the 2010 LVA book compared to years prior. Anthony, Kurt, whatever, took a shot at all those who subscribed to the LVA for the matchplays. Remember this is the same guy who went on the Travel Channel promoting the value of a matchplay coupon hit and run. Now he wants to bastardize all of his subscribers who took his advice and did just that when playing his coupons. Can anyone say hypocrite?

Out of curiosity, when was the Travel Channel program that you are referring to produced? I don't mean when did you see it since they frequently air out of date programs. What is the copyright on it?
My intent is not to defend or attack anyone. I am just curious.

Take Care,

I will not be renewing, thanks. Losing substantial numbers of subscribers is the only way the LVA will reverse their decision

The original post was informational so that those renewing for 2010 would know that the book would contain about $100 less in EV then the 2009 book

I'd still like to hear comments from the Queen of Coupons. Hopefully she has not been muzzled on this issue due to the paycheck she collects from LVA

AC did an interview with Steve Friess for "The Strip Podcast" where he discusses his real name and how the LVA was created. You can take a listen to the July 8th 2009 podcast at http://www.stevefriess.com/podcast/

He and Miles have some great interviews each week. If you're interested in Vegas topics, check it out.

I am not "muzzled." There are no strings attached from me to the LVA. However, I have no opinion on this really. Anthony can do whatever he thinks best for his relationship with casinos and what they will or will not do in the future based on past experience with the coupons. I do know that there were so many abusing the matchplay coupons that it was a big headache for him.

How does one 'abuse' matchplay coupons?

There are a lot of ways to limit the 'abuse' of matchplays. Taking them all out of the book is one way to do it but seems like an over reaction.

Why not do what Sahara did for their $25 MP in the ACG? You have to take the coupon to the slot club booth to get your MP. One extra step? Sure, but it makes it much, much harder to run a bunch through the system.

You lock them in a dark electrical room and deny them everything except food and water!

No, sorrry, that's football players.

Re: "....there were so many abusing the matchplay coupons that it was

This doesn't make sense to me.

Exactly what *abuse* was going on? And, how was that a *big
headache* for Anthony Curtis?

I know that Jean said she is not *muzzled* because of her connection
to LVA. However, her statement sounds a little suspicious to me
(like, we're not getting the 'rest of the story').

If matchplay coupons are really being abused (whatever that means)
and they are really such a big headache, then why are there so many
of them available?

I was in Planet Hollywood trying to use a 2009 LVA coupon on 12/31/09 (someone gave me his leftover book after his last Vegas trip of 2009), but the craps boss said that they were invalidated because someone had printed too many of them.

The new 2009 LVA book I got a few weeks ago had "void" written on them.

A local hustler offered to print me copies of any coupons I wanted. One of his friends does it a lot. I declined, saying that I would rather stay legal & just buy multiple ACG books. So I don't know how much of this illegal stuff is going on...

There was a really good Sahara promo which ended around Aug 2009. 50/40 coupons (given for free at the hotel desk) could be used at the cashiers cage without recording your players card. Wish I had hit this one more before they changed the rules - Now, the 50/40 must be redeemed at the players club.

If you know about them, some coupons can be used multiple times (despite the text on the coupon to the contrary).

Mitchell

P.S. Local hustlers also make money on food coupons.
