My wife and I have been playing vp seriously for about 5 years and
lurking this site for about 3. This is the first post from either of
us, but I couldn't resist posting our recent luck. We visit our local
casinos a couple times each month and spend about 45 days in Las Vegas
each year, playing vp 6-10 hours each day. We have DRAWN royals holding
1,2,3 or 4 cards playing single and multiple line $.25, $.50, and $1
games. We have been DEALT royals on single and multiple line games.
None of this is very unusual, considering the number of hands we play.
Last week I was playing $1 JoB, was dealt a garbage hand, dumped it,
and drew a heart royal on the REDEAL ! As has been previously discussed
on this site, this is a once in a lifetime event, which we still marvel
at. It was a total thrill which I had to share.

Cool! Hey, I can top that though. My hit was a "lottery" type hit - math guys have estimated that a SEQUENTIAL ROYAL on the redeal to be between $300 million and $400 million to one - depending on what was discarded. I was playing .25 NSUD
I think that is about the odds of hitting the Powerball lottery, correct? Me? I got a whole $1000 for my royal....sigh (-;
Congratulations! hits like that keep us coming back for more, right?!
Joel - you from spokane, by chance?

We call these RAZGU Royals. The wife and I have had many dealt royals over
the years, but I already had four of this variety, holding zero cards,
before I ever got the first one on the deal. Now THAT is strange. I think a
lot of us will agree that the longer you play this, the weirder it gets.

I assume RAZGU was coined by Lenny Fromme for a
throwaway hand. Any idea what it stands for? Is it
an acronym?
