In the comments, it mentioned card numbers. I wonder when the first
Mr. Lewis knew that he wasn't supposed to win and what the "right
thing" for him to do is.

I was there when it happened. I don't think he was informed until much later. Security lead him in as I sat in the diamond lounge and they kept a wall between him and the rest of us. They took his pic with the check and let his family in as they arrived. Someone in the crowd called the other Kevin and he ran down there. That whole fiasco occurred at the promotions desk while we were in the diamond lounge. I was in there yesterday and talked to a couple of staff, and according to them no one has been fired over this incident. After watching the wrong Kevin and his family in the lounge he won't have that money very long.

The article says they are giving both Kevin Lewis's a million dollars, probably cheaper that way than to fight it in the courts. Plus another 5 million yet to give away:
