Lucky Deal Poker

Base game pays 89.7013% (Per Winpoker), bonus adds 5.1120% total 94.8133% (YUCK!!)

Calculation of bonus:
RF 4*800 =3200, SF 36*50 = 1800, 4A 48*80 = 3840, 4(2s,3s or 4s) 144*40 = 5760, 4 other 432*25, FH 3744*10 = 37440, FL 4952*6 = 29712, ST 10128*4 = 40512. Total = 133064/2598960 = 5.11199%

Note: This assumes that the 156 flushes with a 4 royal and the 72 straights with a 4 royal pay no bonus when the correct play of going for the royal is made. I have used the one coin numbers (adjusted the royal to 800) for easier calculations but five coins will be the same.

I'm sure someone else will do the math. I'm heading up to Hinckley
this AM to play VP and don't have the time right now. Here's how I'd
approach this problem.

1)Determine the number of "dealt" hands for straights and above.
2)Divide by the total number of hands (2598960).
3)Use winpoker to determine the frequency of each hand.
4)You now can figure out how often each "dealt" hand occurs and raise
the payback % for that hand. E.g. the Frequency for a RF is 65.5 and
number of possible dealt RFs is 4. Take (4/65.5)*1.96 as the increase
in payback for the RF.
5)Add the additional payback percentage to the base of 89.7%.

I suspect you'll get a number between 96-98%.

If I missed something here I'm sure someone will correct me.

Dick

PS. I don't go to Mystic. The best payback games I've found at
Hinckley is 9-7-5 Double Bonus in .50 and One-eyed Jacks in all
denoms. I pretty much only play One-eyed Jacks. It is the best game
by far.

Here's a game they have at Mystic Lake and Grand Casino Hinckley

(two

Indian casinos here in Minnesota). They pay table goes:

250-50-(80/40/25)-10-6-4-3-1-1

but, if you're dealt a straight or better, you get paid double for
that hand. How would you figure out the percentages for this one?

I did get dealt a royal on this one for $2000 back in July, but
tonight the best hand I got was two dealt straights. Ugh.

Beautiful workup, Howard, and nice execution start to finish.

Just a quick addition using your numbers. When I was up at Hinckley
this week I noticed the paytable was 9-7-5 instead of 10-6-4. So,
it's a little better game, but still bad.

133064 - 3744 + 4952 + 10128 = 144400 which yields 5.56% over 91.42
or a total of 96.98. This would be very typical of VP machines at
Hinckley.
