I just returned from 3 days in Vegas, staying at MSS on a comp. The
triple points and $100 in free slot play, plus the scratch cards,
made the 9-6 DDB a viable option.
Four hours into the visit, on Sunday afternoon, I drew two to
complete a 50-cent royal for $2,000. What was amazing though, was
that just FOUR HANDS LATER after they reset the machine, I drew two
to a club royal for another two grand.
I've had two royals on the same machine before, but they were a few
hours apart.
The rest of the trip was uneventful, meaning I dropped a good part of
that royal money playing at the dollar level. Oh well, still finished
ahead.
BTW, there were far more $2 scratch cards than in the past. Only two
or three $3 cards and one $5 card out of maybe 40 cards.
Also, for what it's worth, my streak of failed one-card royal draws
is hitting record proportions. I probably missed 6 this week. On the
other hand, I'm doing better than expectation of royals for the year.
Almost all have been two-card draws.
In roughly 20 days of play in Vegas since March (7 weekend trips),
I've had 8 royals. So 8 in approx. 180,000 hands is definitely ahead
of the curve.
Can't wait to go again!
