Loving Vegas, Loathing this Thread!

While I appreciate the discourse that has taken place both in favor
of and against the lovely little valley that I now call home, I do
not appreciate the fact that Kevin did not remove the "Re:" from my
subject heading when he renamed it to include the word "Loathing."

Nothing against Kevin personally, I just want everyone to know that
his post is not a response to my loathing but that he changed the
subject heading inappropriately, as I enjoy living in Las Vegas very
much.

Also, I'd like to express my appreciation for everyone who has
responded to or emailed me privately regarding my original post with
their positive words and attitude toward Las Vegas. They were very
cheering, indeed!

Unfortunately, the post turned into something a little uglier and
more argumentative than I had envisioned, so I'd like to move that we
all get back to talking about video poker! (Which has been a bit
uglier than I'd like lately, as well!)

Happy thoughts!
Bettie

Betty, do you realize that the abbreviation "Re:" is short
for "Regarding" and therefore refers to the post that it heads, and
no other?

The fact that the board software automatically copies the "subject"
line when posting a reply to an existing post may make some people
think that it is mandatory to keep this line intact in order
to "maintain the thread". This is not the case. No one should draw
the inference that a subject line is a direct quote from the
original poster. In my case, I changed it slightly to accurately
reflect the content of MY post; it said nothing about YOURS, unless
someone wanted to draw the above mistaken inference.

I am also changing the subject line in THIS post, as I should any
time that the content of the post is not reflected by the subject
line copied from the post replied to.

I hope this eases your mind.
