Long Live Skip Hughes

I am saddened by the news about Skip and send my condolences to Skip's wife and other family members. His death is particularly disheartening in few of recent posts which led to some optimism.

I joined Skips VP email list early on and I checked for group messages frequently. Years ago, before my mental health problems became severe (of course many would claim I was crazy long before then), I travelled from Austin to Vegas for a week of VP 12 or 13 times a year. I learned a great deal from the group, not only strategy but also what the best plays were in terms of return and casino comps/points/cashback. In fact, while in Austin the highlight of my day was reviewing and posting messages.

I also attented the original and a few other get-togethers in Vegas where I met Skip and other new friends. Both in person and in his email posts, it was clear that Skip was good natured and had a great sense of humor. Even though I haven't been in contact with Skip for years, I still recall enjoying being around and communicating with him.

Again my sympathy and thoughts are with his family.

Dave,

You said it so well. The entire Rocket clan seconds your thoughts. So nice to see so many of the old timers posting.
