I'm so sorry to hear this. I'm one of those who has known him for many years, from being a Skip Hughes list member. I'll remember him with a tear in my eye, but a smile on my face.
I became one of his get-together coordinators. In the old days, we got together a couple times per year. I worked behind the scenes with him panning out details of where to go, working with the casino of choice ( or whoever would have us) taking head counts, fielding questions etc.
Skip had a heart the size of Texas and was one of the best teachers I ever had. Skip thank you for the gift of knowledge to play my favorite games and for being the gentle, kind person that you were. I'll forever remember your sense of humor, wit, passion and what a good family man you were. I was always, still am, proud to say I was a Skip Hughes Group member.
My condolences, love and hugs to the Hughes family.
Lolly
