Locking up machines WAS: Greedy Old Couple

I agree completely.

I have no problem if it's a bank of ten machines, and several are not being
played. However, locking up machines when there are no more of that type
available, and others wish to play, is upsetting to the other players, and not
profitable for the casino. The casinos should not allow more than fifteen
minutes of cap time on machines that are clearly in high demand. And under those
circumstances, they should certainly not allow one person to play two
machines. And this includes one person playing one machine, while "holding" the
adjacent machine by piling stuff on the seat!

Unfortunately, casinos rarely see things this way. Even those which put
stickers on the machines saying, "One machine per person during peak hours," or
somesuch, usually don't enforce the "rule."

One final note. If I walk into a casino and find all the machines I wish to
play are occupied, I will first say "hi" to those players I know. If one of
them volunteers that he/she will be quitting soon (and I do not ask!), I might
wait for a few minutes. Otherwise, I just leave and go somewhere else. There
is no shortage of decent plays in LV!

My recommendation is, just relax and go with the flow. There is enough s
tress in our lives without getting upset that you can't get on a particular
machine.

I don't believe a machine should be held for anyone except for a brief

Sorry bunch of whiners --

"I want that machine and you're in the way" is the
message sent, even if "politely" phrased. I find
that standing and loudly hollering "Security!!" prevents
any repeat performances of unwelcome inquiry.

I find such entreaties at least as annoying as the toothless
meth-mouth denizens who congratulate you on your good fortune
upon a hand pay and suggest buying them dinner/drinks/hookers
(the latter happening only once -- very whack individual).

I have ZERO sympathy for some lame wazzock who feels "entitled"
because they "drove a long way for the play." A good play
with a butt on the seat should be sacrosanct. Hover if you want,
but disturb the player at your peril ("Security!!!")

Further, although I don't use anything but a register to
record, for tax purposes, $$ in v. $$ out, use of a strategy
guide doesn't bother me in the least. I'm not the house and
I'll be damned if I'll judge the player by their play
behaviour. Stealth is the job of the individual, not
some hyperactive casino observer wannabe.

I don't think I've ever seen such pathetic excuses for
misbehaviour as I have on this thread... some of you lot
seriously need to get real lives.

Harrumph!

.....And a big HARRUMPH right back at ya! LOL
