Locals Small-time play question

Hey gang!

Quick question for you all. My wife and I do the majority of our VP play at the Palms here in town, but we were wondering where would be a good secondary place to play, primarily asking between Harrah's properties and MGM properties.

Here's the situation. We are in a very social line of work and we have friends and colleagues coming in from out of town all the time, nearly 3 out of 4 weeks every month. Generally I will play through a small amount with people while they are in town, say in the $500-$750 a week playthrough.

Thing is, we don't generally get any offers at all from Harrah's because obviously our daily average doesn't even come close to what would qualify and I've never played enough at MGM to know if it's worth my time. If we're going to play "socially" we go to the Rio or somewhere like that, because, esp at the Rio, we find the staff to be fantastic, and while we don't get any mail offers, we do get free tickets and lots of drinks from people for being there so regularly.

Anyway, cutting this short, I'm just looking for at least a modicum of return on our play that would help us choose one of the big guys over the other, since it seems to be adding up to quite a bit over time.

Your best bet would be at a locals property. Seems like your out of towm guests would like a more 'upscale' environment. I would try Red Rock (Stations) or M...good VP games at both places, good dining as well.

You will get mailers from Stations. Don't know about M's mailer policy...but I did get 4 $150 restaurant offers for under $50K coin-in in late April. We went to Marinelli's (Italian) last week and it was very good. Going to Terzetto on Mother's Day.
